Chicken Shop

Damn, that's some good chicken!

For my friend's birthday, we went to the Chicken Shop in Holborn and guys, it's a must!

The restaurant itself is located downstairs, connected to the Hoxton hotel.
It has a rustic feel and intimate setting, with the dark lighting, wooden tables and metal chairs.
Service is very good and also very accommodating - our table was quite loud and had various intense conversations raging from irritation, anger and hysterical laughter. So props to our waiter, who had to put up with us!
The restaurant is very casual and the waiters definitely encourage you to just enjoy yourself.
The menu itself is displayed on the walls and is all very simple - choose what portion of chicken you want.

In terms of food, they were all served very fast. Amongst six of us, we order a whole chicken, three portions of fries and a salad.
The chicken was so good! It was crispy on the outside and nice and tender on the inside. It also had a good mix of herbs, which complimented each other very well and gave the chicken a really nice taste - better than a cheeky Nando's
The salad was simple but very tasty! It was a good side to have with the chicken and fries, it gave it extra moisture and texture, as the avocado really accompanied the meal.
By the end of the meal, we were all really stuffed!
For dessert, we ordered the apple pie and I must say, it was amazing! One of the best apple pies I've ever had! Furthermore, the portion justified the £6 price tag - we shared the piece of pie amongst all six of us.
It had the right amount of sweetness and the texture was very nice. The crust and filling balanced each other and it felt like the apple pie was melting in my mouth.
If you visit Chicken Shop, it's a definite must have!

Overall, GO. GO. GO!
